The Vice President for Research and Economic Development (VPR/ED) may contribute graduate research assistantships to meet the mandatory cost-sharing requirements of certain extramural research and training grant proposals. The availability of these assistantships depends on the budget situation.

The cost-share requested from the VPR/ED office should not exceed 30% of the total cost-share from all ISU sources. All other ISU matching commitments must be secured prior to submitting a request to the VPR/ED office.

Faculty and other personnel with approved PI status at ISU may apply using the form above. Documentation must be provided on the cost-sharing requirements of the sponsor. Indicate all cost-sharing commitments from other ISU units. Please submit your request to the VPR/ED office at least one week before the sponsor's deadline.
