  • Department of Environmental Health and Safety
The Department of Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) provides to the Iowa State University community comprehensive environmental, safety, and health services, designed to promote safe work practices, protect health and minimize the institution's impact on the environment. Many of these services are tailored specifically to the research community and have their basis in local, state, and federal laws and regulations. Services offered include laboratory safety, chemical waste management, biological and radiological safety, OSHA and EPA compliance, safety training, occupational health services, and emergency response preparedness.

  • Industry Relations
Industry Relations serves as Iowa State's front door for businesses and industries that can benefit from access to the university's vast array of expertise and facilities. With a focus on customer service, Industry Relations makes it easy for companies to receive the attention and resources they need to achieve their business goals. Industry Relations can also provide an introduction to Iowa State's comprehensive system for fostering and commercializing innovations.

  • ISU Foundation
The Office of the Vice President for Research and the Office of Sponsored Programs Administration collaborate with the ISU Foundation (ISUF) to assist investigators in the submission of proposals to and management of research awards from charitable foundations and other organizations.
  • ISU Research Park
The ISU Research Park is a technology community and an incubator of new and expanding businesses located just south of the Iowa State University campus. It provides an environment rich in material and human resources for technology-based firms and research organizations. The park also helps young Iowa-based companies develop their potential and nurtures scientific and technological entrepreneurial ventures. The ISU Research Park is an independent not-for-profit corporation that operates under a board of directors appointed by Iowa State University and the ISU Foundation. The Research Park reports to the Office of the President of Iowa State University.

  • Office of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer/ISU Research Foundation
Technology transfer is the process of moving research results from the laboratory to the marketplace. The Office of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer (OIPTT) provides support services to the university community in matters related to intellectual property (IP). OIPTT works in concert with the Iowa State University Research Foundation, Inc. (ISURF) to facilitate and enhance the inventive and creative works of Iowa State University employees and students and to transfer these works for the benefit of society.

  • Sponsored Programs Accounting
The Office of Sponsored Programs Accounting (SPA) works with the Office of Sponsored Programs Administration and provides post-award financial services for sponsored projects. Investigators should contact SPA if they have questions or concerns about their sponsored programs (4xx) accounts.
