As a student with an adventurous spirit, you can dip your toe into the entrepreneurial pool or make a big splash at Iowa State. You can take classes or take a minor in entrepreneurship. You can get involved in an extracurricular club or live with other budding entrepreneurs in a learning and innovation community. It’s all waiting for you to explore.


Entrepreneurship Minor
Entrepreneurial Studies is an interdisciplinary program that provides opportunities to students to learn about the process of creating value through recognizing and developing opportunities. It serves to complement the student's major area of study, in any college, by offering a means of putting theory and science into practice.

Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation
The certificate allows post-graduate students from any discipline to learn about entrepreneurship, innovation, and the new venture creation process. The interdisciplinary certificate program provides students an opportunity to gain business skills they can use in starting a business without a large time commitment.

Iowa State Entrepreneur Club
The ISU Entrepreneur Club is a student organization that fosters creative ideas and encourages Iowa State students to pursue their own goals of starting a business.

Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship
The Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship, in partnership with the ISU Small Business Development Center (SBDC), provides business assistance for students, faculty, staff and entrepreneurs from all disciplines, and experiential learning opportunities for students.
