Iowa State University is committed to providing assistance to help companies grow and prosper. In addition to the many business and technical services offered at ISU, there are also locations where companies can physically reside on either a permanent or temporary basis.

The Center for Crops Utilization Research (CCUR) contains pilot-scale equipment for the development new products, markets, and processing techniques for agricultural products and their components. Companies may rent equipment in the pilot plant, space in the pilot plant to locate company equipment, and/or laboratory space for projects involving pilot plant equipment.
The Innovations Development Facility (IDF) is a research environment where a start-up company can start its journey in a university setting. In addition, the IDF Public/Private Partnership Program promotes collaborations between the private sector and ISU scientists. Housed in the Roy J. Carver Co-Laboratory, the IDF has laboratory and office modules available for rent. Priority is given to plant-biotech related companies and projects.
The ISU Research Park is a rapidly growing technology community of more than 50 companies. It is surrounded by a major research university, federal laboratories, and people ready to invest in technology start-ups and more mature companies. It links technology creation, business formation, and development assistance with established technology firms and the marketplace. The Research Park manages the Iowa State Innovation System (ISIS).
The Iowa State University BioCentury Research Farm is the first-in-the-nation integrated research and demonstration facility dedicated to biomass production and processing. This facility presents a unique opportunity for industry collaboration. The BioCentury Research Farm is a College of Agriculture and Life Sciences facility and is managed by the Center for Crops Utilization Research. The BioCentury Research Farm closely partners with the Bioeconomy Institute on research, demonstration, and commercialization.
